Actividad antifúngica de extractos a partir de la corteza de pino caribe (Pinus caribaea Morelet var. hondurensis)
Main Article Content
Abstract
This paper has an objective to analyze the influence of eight solvents for obtaining bioactive extracts with antifungical activity from the bark of Pinus caribaea Morelet var. hondurensis Barret & Golfari, from the forest plantations of the Venezuelan east. The methanolic extract was sufficient for the control of growth two species of wood-decay fungi: Gloeophyllum trabeum and Trametes versicolor. The percent of inhibition for the control of growth Gloeophyllum trabeum was 51,90% ; while for the case Trametes versicolor was 21,49%. This result obtained revealed the fungistatic potential of this extract.
