Abstract
In the present paper it was done an analysis of the indicators and factors that irifluence at the of determíning the dimensions of the Basic Units of Forestry Production. {BUFP). Surveys to from different productive and scientific entities from the forestry bran.ch were carried out and as theoretical methods a mathematice cono mical modeling was used from a multicriteria analysis sustainable process of production. The starting point was the project ofup-to-dateforestry orderingfrotti 2005-2015 at the Macurije BUFP. The mathematiceconomical model was elaborated taking into accoun.t the elements that influerice signijicatively to determine the size the BUFP should adopt, where different variants ere analyzed taking into account the indicators and factors. It is important the determination ofsuch size because this permiis to the unit to achieve a stability of the labour force, a more rational organization ofthe production with diminishing in the costs ofproduction and the increase of the working productívity.
