Tablas de cubicación de madera en trozas para las especies de coníferas de Pinar del Río

Abstract
The objective of this work is to elaborate a volume table of log for the coniferous species, contrary to other specialists of the topic, which have determined the equations of volume for each species in an independent way.
Using of technical of correlation and regression was determined the equation of volume of the wood in log, starting from a sample represented by 1114 log, of which 1034 were used for the adjustment, and the rest for the validation.
The results gave that the logarithmic equations defined from the diameter with bark in the end smaller than the log and the longitude, they were selected to estimate the volume without bark, since they reached values of adjustment superiors to 95% of the coefficient of determination and inferior biases to 3%, besides their practical application to be the variables of the equation of easy measuration. When being compared with other methods and formulas of estimate of volume used in the production, turns out to be equally superior.
