Influencia del secado natural sobre los parámetros de eficiencia en la madera para combustible
Main Article Content
Abstract
In order to increase economic efficiency of fuelwood, reducing its humidity to aprópiate parameters, three forest species were studied: Quercus oleoides sp. sagreana (encino), Eucalyptus pellita F. Muell (eucalipto) and Casuarina equisetifolia Forst. (casuarina). Na- tural drying programs, weight loss in relation to humidity and efficiency of parameters, an increase of charcoal quality and a significant reduction of Word volume which allows to discontinue pruning of 4 000-5 000 ha of Word for energetic purposes. Natural drying of fuelwood for a minimum of three months is recommended.
