Observaciones sobre Paratrikona lerouxi defoliador de Tabebuia spp.

Abstract
En el presente trabajo se da información sobre la descripción de la plaga, bionomía y características de los daños de parasitación. Paratrikona lerouxi se encontró atacando a diferentes especies de robles: Tabebuia angustata, T. pentaphylla y T. lepidophylla. Por el estudio bionómico se obtuvo que la plaga presenta cinco instares en su estado larval y que la duración promedio total del ciclo de vida es de 37 días, con un promedio de 9 generaciones al año. Las larvas y adultos comen del parénquima de las hojas en forma característica, el primero en forma de manchones y el segundo en forma de manchas alargadas. Se halló de forma preliminar la cantidad de alimento consumido por las larvas y los adultos; para compararlos se utilizó la prueba de contraste t (Student) para datos apareados.
