El escurrimiento líquido y sólido en áreas forestales y agrícolas de la provincia de Pinar del Río. Datos de parcelas experimentales de escurrimiento

Abstract
En el artículo aparecen los datos obtenidos en investigaciones que sobre el escurrimiento de agua y de sólidos en suspensión se llevaron a cabo en 18 parcelas experimentales, a las que se les aplicó lluvia artificial, ubicadas en las regiones montañosas de la provincia de Pinar del Río. Se describe la metodología de trabajo. Se destaca que, como resultado del cambio de las áreas forestales para ser explotadas por la agricultura, aumentaron bruscamente el escurrimiento superficial y la erosión del suelo y disminuyó la infiltración de agua. En plantaciones de pinos de 17 años de edad, se observó un restablecimiento completo de las funciones hidrológicas y de protección del suelo inherentes a un bosque maduro.
